How we work, written down so you can hold us to it.
Sourcing
Any market-moving claim needs at least two named sources. With one, the piece says so in the sentence that carries the claim.
- Publications and analysts are cited by name.
- Anonymous on-chain accounts and project blogs about their own metrics are labelled as such.
- SEO farms and screenshots without provenance are not sources.
Verification
Every figure is checked before anything is written around it, and carries one of four states:
- Verified — named sources agree.
- Unverified — only one source has it.
- Conflicting — sources disagree.
- Stale — too old to assert in the present tense.
Unverified or conflicting numbers do not publish without a human deciding they should. When sources disagree we print both figures and say which method we trust, and why. We never quietly average them.
Originality
We report on other people's reporting, and we write it ourselves. Every piece is measured against its sources before it can publish. Too much shared phrasing, or any identical run over fifteen words, and it is blocked and rewritten.
Attributed quotation is exempt. A marked quote is a citation, which is the opposite of what that check exists to catch.
What we will not do
- Promise a return, or state a price prediction as fact.
- Give personalised advice. We publish research, not advice.
- Accept sponsorship from presales, memecoins, or unaudited platforms — and any sponsored piece is labelled and visually separate.
- Soften coverage of a partner. A sponsor's protocol having a bug is reported like anyone else's.
- Hide a mistake. Corrections are published with the same prominence as the piece that needed them.
Security
Nobody from The Miner will ever message you first. We will never ask for a seed phrase, a private key, or a wallet connection. Any account that does either is impersonating us, whatever it is called.
Corrections
Found something wrong? Reply to any edition. Factual errors are fixed with a dated note on the piece explaining what changed — the original claim stays visible rather than being edited away.
