Terms
Plain language, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
This is research, not advice
Nothing published here is investment advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We publish analysis of public information. We do not know your finances, your obligations or your tolerance for loss, so we are in no position to tell you what to do with your money — and we will not pretend otherwise.
We are not registered as investment advisers in any jurisdiction and do not hold ourselves out as such. If you want advice about your own situation, the person to ask is a licensed professional who knows it.
If you write in asking whether to buy something, the honest answer you will get is this one: we publish research, not advice — here is the framework we would use to think about it, and the decision is yours.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise that:
- Every figure is sourced and dated.
- Where a claim rests on a single source, the piece says so.
- When we get something wrong, we correct it in the same place, at the same size.
We do not promise, and cannot promise:
- Any outcome or any return. Not implicitly, not in a chart, not in a headline.
- That an analysis will prove right. A view with a stated confidence level is still a view.
- That a third party’s data is accurate. We name our sources precisely so you can check them.
Crypto assets carry real risk
Prices move violently and can go to zero. Protocols get exploited. Custodians fail. Tokens are illiquid more often than their charts suggest, and leverage turns an ordinary week into a total loss. Past performance tells you about the past.
Anything you do with this information is your decision and your risk. We are not liable for losses arising from it.
Our work
The writing, charts and data on this site are ours. Quote us, cite us, screenshot a chart and post it — that is what it is for. Ask first before republishing a piece in full.
Where we quote others, we quote briefly and link to the original. Those excerpts belong to whoever wrote them. If you believe we have overstepped with your work, write and it will be fixed quickly.
The newsletter
Free, and you can leave in one click from any issue. We may change the cadence or the format. If a paid tier ever exists, it will be a separate decision you make — not something the free list is converted into.
Impersonation
Nobody from The Miner will ever DM you first. Any account that does is impersonating us. We will never ask for a seed phrase, a private key, or a transfer of funds. There is no circumstance in which that request is genuine.
Sponsorship
Paid placement is labelled and editorially separate. The rules are on their own page — read the sponsorship policy.
Changes
These terms can change. Material changes get said in the newsletter, not slipped onto the page.
